AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WA�iLNGTON ,
AMENDING CHAPTER ll of TITLE I CADMINISTRATIVE)
OF ORDINANCE N0. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON" RELATING TO
SALARIES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing Sections 1-1101 and 1-1102 of Chapter 11 ,
Title I (Administrative) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Renton" are hereby amended to
read as follows :
Section 1-1101 - as amended: SALARIES OF ELECTIVE OFFICERS :
The elective officials , consisting of the Mayor and members of the
City Council , shall receive the salaries fixed and established by
City ordinances from time to time and as otherwise provided by law.
All salaries so specified shall be paid in equal I
semi-monthly installments . �
Section 1-1102 - as amended : SALARIES OF APPOINTIVE OFFICERS :
The appointive officers shall receive such salaries as are fi xed
and established by City of Renton ordinances and such salaries shall
be paid in equal semi-monthly installments unless otherwise determined
by the City Council or by State law. For the purpose of this
Ordinance the appointive officers are those appointed by the Mayor
and whose appointment is subject to confirmation by the City Council.
They shall include , among others: F:ina�c� :Dire.c��o:�,,; _ �--�City Attorney ,
Municipal Court Judge , Personnel Director, Planning Director ,
Director of Public Works , and Police and Fire Chief as per applicable
Civil Service laws .

SECTION II : Any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III : This ordinance shall be effective from and after
� its assa e a roval and five da s after its le al ublication.
