ORDINANCE N0. 2845
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AMENDING CHAPTER 1 OF TITLE V (BUSINESS REGULATIONS)
OF ORDINANCE N0. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON" RELATING TO
CHANGES IN DEFINITION AND EXEMPTIONS ; REPEALING
ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES �R PARTS OF' ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT THEREWITH
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Whenever the term "TreasurerT' or "City Treasurer"
is referred to or provided in Chapter 1 of Title V (Business
Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances
of the City of Renton" the term �"D:i�e�ctor .-o�" Firiance" shall be
substituted therefor with the same effect as if said term had
been initially contained in said Chapter , Section� 5-102 ( L ) , 5- 1Q9
and 5- 112 , hereby amended accordingly .
SECTION II : Subsection (A) of Section 5-107 entitled "EXEMPTIONS19
of Title V (Business Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled
"Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended
to read as follows :
Section 5-107 (A) - EXEMPTIONS : The provisions of this
Chapter shall not apply to :
(a) Any person in regard to a business activity with
respect to which the tax liability is specifically
imposed under a separate , applicable provision of this
Code relating to the regulations of and licensing of the
following business activities :
ambulance services , auction, bowling alley, cabaret
and similar entertainment , carnivals , circuses and
similar entertainment ,d�ective and detective agencies ,
dynamite/explosives , enter"tainment devices , fireworks
stands or displays , golf course , "Going out of Business"
sales , locksmith/keymaker , massage parlors , merchant
patrol , mobile home parks , pawnbrokers , peddlers and
solicitors , phonograph/music devices Ccoin operated) ,
pool halls , race track, second hand dealer, sound truck
operation, taxicabs , theatres and used car dealers ,
including but not limiting it to any amendment or
modification of any ordinance licensing and regulating
any of the activities hereinabove specified, or any
other activity hereafter licensed or regulated by
� any ordinance of the City of Renton<, for which a
special license fee or tax is imposed.

SECTION III : Any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION IV : This ordinance shall be effective after its
passage , approval and five days after its publication, nnless
otherwise provided for hereinabove.
