AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTQN
AMENDING SECTION �=�1002 (B) of TTTLE II (BOARDS AND
COMMISSIONS) OF ORDINANCE N0 . 1628 ENTTTLED
"CODE OF GENERAL ORDTNANCES OF THE CITY OF
RENTQN" RELATING TO THE TERM OF MEMBERS OF
COMMISSION iQN �-IUMAN RIGHTS AND AFFAIRS
� THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I : Existing Section 2-1002 (B) of Title II CBoards
and Commissions) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General
Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to read as follows :
Section 2-10Q2(B) - as amended -
Members of the Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor,
�-subject to confirmation or concurrence b;y� a majority of Council
members , for a period of four (4) years ; each such member�: shall
serve until his or her successor has been appointed and qualified.
Any vacancy on the Commission shall be filled far the unex�ired term
in the same manner as the original appointment . The appointing
authority has the rightjtr°.emove any member of the Commission for
g
ood cause shown.
SECTION II : Any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances
� in conflict herewith are here.by repealed.
SECTION III : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage ,
approval and five days after its publication.
