AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
AMENDING SECTION 2�2p2 of TITLE TI CBOARDS AND
COMMISSIONS) OF ORDINANCE N0 . 1628 ENTITLED
"CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CTTY OF
RENTON" RELATING TO THE TERMS OF MEMBERS OF
PLANNING COMMISSION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing Section 2-202 of Ti.tle II (Boards and
Commissions) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of Gen�ral
Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to read as follows :
Section 2-2�2 -- TERM OF OFFICE - as amended:
The term of office of each member shall be for four (4)
years wh.ich term shall likewise apply to all incumbent members
even though such member may initially have been appointed for a
longer term. Each such appointee.-: shall be a resident of the
City of Renton unless such resider�ce requirement is waived by the
appointing authority. Each such member shall serv� until h.is or
her successor has been appointed and duly qualified.
SECTION II : Any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III : This Ordinance shall be. effective upon its passage ,
approval and five days after its publication.
