CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON
ORDINANCE NO. 2885
AN •.,ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON , AMENDING
SECTION 1-2203 OF TITLE I (ADMINISTRATIVE) OF ORDINANCE
NO. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON" REGARDING COMPENSATION FOR
JUDGES PRO TEM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON , DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing Section 1-2203 of Title I (Administrative)
of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City
of Renton Washington" is hereby amended to read as follows :
Section 1-2203 , as amended: JUDGES PRO TEM: The Mayor
shall , subject to confirmation by a majority of the mem_;�bers of the
City Council , appoint Judges Pro Tem who shall act in the absenceo
disability or temporary disqualification of the regular Municipal
Court Judge . The Judges Pro Tem shall be qualified to hold the
position of Judge of the Municipal Court as provided for in Sec�ion
1-2201 hereinabovee
Such Pro Tem Judges shall receive the sum of $7.5 . 00 for
handling the calendar on any regular or special Court day and the sum
of $50. 00 for handling a portion of the trial calendar or a particular
case whenever the regular Municipal Court Judge is unavailable as
hereinabove set forth.
SECTION II : Al1 other Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage , approval and five days after its publication, unle5s otherwise
provided for hereinabove . ,
