� AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
� AMENDING SECTION 8-715 (D) OF TITLE VIII (HEALTI3-�AND��_
SANITATION) OF ORDINANCE N0. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE
OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON" RELATING
TO SEWER CHARGES TO CERTAIN SENIOR CITIZENS ECOPQMICALLY
DISADVANTAGED,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing Section 8-715 (D) of Title VIII (Health
and Sanitation) of Ordinance No . 1628 entitled "Code of General
Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to read as
follows :
Section 8-715 (D) as amended :
(D) In addition to the foregoing charges specified in
this Section, the following rates shall be charged:
l. A charge of two dollars seventy five cents ($2 . 75)
per month payable to "Metro" for each single �
family dwelling unit .
2 . A charge of two dollars seventy five cents C$2 . 75)
per month payable to "Metro" for each nine hundred
(900) cubic feet of water used by apartments ,
multiple dwelling units of every type and number ,
' business , commercial , industrial and all other
users .
The following rates are hereby established for certain
qualified senior citizens wha are economically disadvantaged as
herein set forth : '
l. Every single person , 62 years of age or older ,
and every single person substantially and
permanently disabled residing in a single family
dwelling , either as owner or .purchaser, whose
income from all sources is $ 333 . 33 per month
or less , and $40000. 0o per annum, or less .
2 . Every married couple , constituting a marital
community , residing in a single family dwelling ,
either as owner or purchaser , and both spouses
being 62 years of age or older , or one such spouse
being 62 years of age or older - and substantially
and permanently disabled , while the other spouse
is under age 62 , and whose total income from all
sources is $425 . 0o per month or less , and
$5 ,looso0 per annum or less ;

and all of the aforementioned qualifying persons shall pay the
following rates for water and sewer services relatin to such sin le
g g
family dwelling in which such eligible person or persons permanently
reside , to-wit:
One dollar ($1. 00 ) per month including the monthly rate for
' sewage disposal for a single family dwelling unit.
Any excess shall be charged as provided in Section 3-231 of
Title III relating to water rates .
SECTION II : Any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III : This ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage , approval and five days after its legal publication.
