ORDINANCE N0 . 2906
, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON ,
AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF TITLE I (ADMINISTRATIVE)
OF ORDINANCE N0 . 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OFRENTON" RELATING TO
COMMITTEES OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON , WASHINGTON , DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing subsection (C) of Section 1-601
of Title •I (Administrative) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended as follows :
Section 1-601 (C) , as amended : The Committee on Community
Services shall consist of three (3 ) members , including a chairman and
vice chairman.
This Committee shall be primarily concerned with and responsible
for and have supervision of all matters relating to the planning of
the physical, esthetic , social and economic development of the City and
its environs including but not limiting it to periodic inspection ,
supervision and occpancy of various structures and buildings together
with the planning and implementation of cultural and recreational
facilities and activities within the City , and all other matters or
issues directly or indirectly relating to the aforespecified subject
matters .
The City's "Goals and Capital Improvement Committee" shall
be a sub-committee of the Community Services Committee and shall be
primarily concerned with £uture improvements and benefits of a capital
nature including bizt not limiting it to constructi,on and improvement of
streets , rights of way, buildings, acguist�ons and related public capital
' expenditures . �
In order to provide continuous and effective liaison
between the legislative body and the Administrative Departments of the

City, the Planning Director, Building Official, Li.brary Director, and
Park Director shall, whenever so timely requested , attend meetings of
said Committee and assist in the implementation of its plans and
• projects whenever so requested by the City Council.
SECTION II : Existing sub-secta.on (D) of Section 1-601
of Title I (Administrative) of Ordinance No . 1628 entitled "Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended as
follows :
Section 1-601 (D) , as amended : The Committee on Finance '!
and Personnel shall consist of three ( 3) members including a chairman. I�
Thls Committee shall be primarily responsible for and have
supervision of all matters relating to fiscal policies of the City ,
including i�ut not limiting to appropriations , revenues and other
income , the auditing of expenditures and claims presented as well as
the fi,nanci.ng of personal and/or real property by the City or in which
it has an interest together with the in��estigation and interviewing
of various appointees to City Boards , Commissions and Agencies . This
Committee shall report annually to the City Council regarding the
financial condition of the City and make such appropriate recommendation
as it may deem necessary or advis�le , and all other matters or issues
directly or indirectly relating to the aforespecified subject matters .
In order to provide continuous and effective liaison between
the legislative body and the Administrative Dep�tments of the City , the
Director of Finance , City Clerk, Purchasing Agent , and Data Processing
Manager shall, whenever so timely requested , attend meetings of said ',
Commi�tee and assist in the implementation of its plans and projects
whenever so requested by the City Council.

SECTION III : Existing sub-section (E) of Section 1-601
' of Title I (Administrative) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby repealed in its
entirety.
SECTION IV : A11 other Ordi.nances or parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION V This Ordinance shall be effecta.ve upon its
passage , approval and five days after its publication, as required by
law.
