FIRE LAI�IES .
, THE CITY GOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FQI,LOWS :
SECTION I : Existing sub-section (F) of Section 10-11.4 of
, Title X (Traf�ic) of Ordinance No. 1628 ent_it�.ed "Code of General Ordinances
of �khe Cit� of Renton" is hereby amended to read as follows :

(�') , as am�nd�d : No Stopping,, S�anding or Parking Near
� Hazardous or Congested Places :
l. The Director of Public Works is hereby authorized to
determin.e and designate by proper signs , places not exceeding one Hundred
feet (100 ' ) in length a.n which the stopping , standing or parking of vehicles
would create an especi,ally hazardous condition or would cause unusual delay
to traffic.
2 . The Director of Public Works is further authori,zed to
designate c�rtain areas and lanes as "fire lanes" wi.thin any public right
of way, easement or atherwis� for the purpose of permitting fire trucks
and other fi.re preventi,on equipment to use , travel upon and park within
such fire lanes . All of such fire lanes shall be duly marked by
appropriate si.gns or posts either i,mmediatezy adjoining such lane or ,
marked thereon. No person shall park any vehicle within any fi.re lane
so marked or pasted.
3 . When official sa�gns or,�posts are erected at hazardous
or congested places , including fire lanes so marked, as authorized by
this chapter, noperson shall stop, stand or park any vehicle withi�n any
such designated place.

SEC'�ZQN II : Any and all Ordi.nances or parts of Qrdinances
in..conflict herewith are� l�eby repealed.
SECTION .III : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after i.ts publa�cata.on, unless otherw�.se
provided for hereinabove.
