HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1381 RESOLUTION NO. /%q/ WHEREAS the City of Renton is in need of acquiring additional sites for a water reservoir, and WHEREAS it has been duly deterc_ined, after due investigation, and the recommendation of the Consulting Engineer that the hereinbelow described property is needed for the establishment and construction of such a reservoir and such acquisition being for a public purpose and in the public interest, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The above recitals and facts are hereby found to be true and correct. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute any and all necessary documents for the acquisition of the following described property, to-wit: The East 191.53 feet of Tract 21 of Plat No. 2 of Renton Co-operative Coal Company's Acre Tracts, as per plat recorded in Volume 9 of Plats, on page 27, records of King County; situate in the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington SUBJECT TO reservations in favor of Seattle Electric Company, King County Auditor's File No. 217925 and restrictions dated May 16, 1904 as recorded in King County Auditor's File No. 217925 and the City to pay unto the owner of record, JAMES NOLEN, the sum of Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty and no/100 Dollars ($7,650.00) cash, and said sum to be paid out of the 1965 Water and Sewer Revenue Bond Issue proceeds, in full payment of said property and said JAMES NOLEN to execute and deliver unto the City a Statutory Warranty Deed therefor. The City agrees to pay the premium for an Owner's Policy of Title Insurance and the recording fees therefor and the Owner to pay and affix the necessary revenue stamps to said instrument of conveyance.
