HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 1385 REsour IODt NO. /j f3' TIMEREASItua--04441.01Earisston. 11aa heretofore acquired by �iiit Claim Deed dated N4Xch 2 , 1966, executed by the United States of America, acting by and through the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, the Grantor's right, title and interest in artd to certain lands, including reversionary interest in and to certain Highlands properties including Lot 17, of Block 6, as shown on the Plat of Renton Highlands as hereinafter moreparticularly described, and WHEREAS it has been determined that the North Half of said Lot 17 is no longer needed or required for any public purposes whatever and such land should be declared surplus and disposed of in the best and most advantageous manner to the City of Renton, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED DY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, AS FOLLOWS: Section I: The aforesaid findings and recitals are hereby found to be true and correct in all respects. Section II, It is hereby found and determined that the following described 1rLY is no longer needed for any public use or purpose and that there is no foreseeable need or requirement for said property and same is to be sold upon such terms and conditions as aay be most beneficial to the City of Renton including sale of said property to the hist bidder or by negotiations, as the Council may determine; said property being described as follows, to-wit: North 118 feel of Lot 17, Block 6 as shown on the Plat of Renton Highlands, of record in Volume 46 of Plats, pages 34-41, inclusive, in the office of the Auditor, King County, Washington and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the sale of the aforedescribed property and to sell same to the highest bidder, or as otherwise may be determined by the City Council; the City, however, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to sell said property for cash, or upon such terms as the City Council may hereafter determine. Section IN; Upon such sale, the Mayr esti City Clerk are further authorized and directed to execute any and all Quit Claim Deeds or other instruments of conveyance -1- as way reasonably be necessary to dispose of suct, property.
