HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 2981 ,,. _ R � . , _ _. � . � , :.�. . . ,'� . �^ � � AMENDING ORD. �269� " � � ��.���'Ce�e G� 1��� ��� �30�I-5 CITY OF RENTOI`T, tiaASHINGTON ORDINANCE P10. 2 9 s 1 AN OP.DINANCE OF THE CITY OF REiVTON, WASHINGTON AP�NDING SECTION 5-3313 OF TITLE V (BUSINESS REGULATIONS) OF ORDINANCE NOo 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON" RELATING TO EZ�RGEiQCY CARE AND CHARGES THEREFOR BY THE CI�Y FIRE DEPART��NT , THE CIT� COUNCIL OF TH� CITY OF REIQTON DO ORDAIN AS �'OLLOtr]S: SECiION I: Existing Section 5-3313 of Title V (Business Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1625 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" is hereby amended to read as £ollows : Section 5-3313, as amended - CITY FIRE aLP�RT�NT AID CAR: In the event that the City` s Fire Department operates an aid car, then in such event the Fire Department reserves the right to respond I to any emergency situation and/or the transportation of any patient to a hospital when: (A) The patient is in critical condition and no licensed ambulance is immediately available; or (�) There is a lack of ambulance or ambulances to timely respond to th.e scene; or (C) wh.en a number of patients are in dire need of trans- portation to a hospital and a bona fide emergency exists, Whenever the Cityps Fire Department aid car provides these services specified hereinabove, a charge of $ 20 . 0o shall be made to the patient and/or person authorizing such service for transporting such patient to the Valley General Hospital, Such billing shall be under the jurisdiction of the Director of Finance, In all other cases , an ambulance iicensee shall transport the patient to the hospital when the custody o� the patient has been released �o such licenseeo No efiort shall be made by the licensee to assume the custody of a patient before release of custody has been made by the officer in charge, SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its approval, , 'I � -- -- _ __ -1- _ .�
