CREATING AND ESTABLISHIt1G l-� SPECIAL FUND TO BE
� KI�tOWN AS THE "GP�EEN RIVER v���DLIFE APdD GREEN
BELT PRESERVATION FUND".
BE It ORDAI�dED BY THE P�IAYOR AND 1HE CItY COUi`�CIL OF THE
CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOtJS :
SECTION I: There is hereby established and created a
s�ecial fund to be known as the "Green River Wildlife and
Green Se?t Preservation Fund". The primary purpose of said
fund is to accept donations in money, real or personal property
or mixed, �or the purchase, acquisition and condemnation of
"tands i�. the Green River Valley located within the territorial
�urisdiction of the City of Renton toward preservation and
mai��enance of open spaces for wildlife habitat, �ae�tlands and
similar purposes.
a. Said fund is created for the specific purpose of
accepting such donations from any person, firm or corporatio�.,
whether private, public or quasi-public, to carry out and
�mplement the aforestated purposes.
SECTION II: The monies in said fund as donated and
bequeatried unto the City shall be expended solely for the purposes
here��zabove specified and no monies in said fund shall be expended
ior any other purpose or purposes other than those specified
herPi��auove without an approving vote by a majority%� all
councilmen elected.
SECTIOP3 III : �'he fund hereinestablished shall implement
the policies and goals of the State' s Environmental Policy Act
(SEPA) and as same may be amended from time to time. �ny Monies
in said fund at the end of any fiscal year sna11 not lapse nor
shall the same be a surplus available or which may be used for

any otiler purpose or purposes then specified hereinabove unless

; otherwise determined by a majority�o� a1� councilmen elected.
i SECTION IV: The Director of Finance of the City of Renton
is hereby authorized and instructed to create and establisk� such
a iund, as hereinabove speciiied and to report unto tne Mayor
and the Council from time to ti�ne as to any donations and
acquisitions made thereunder.
SECLION V: This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage, approval and five days after
legal �ublication as provided by law.
