AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY. OF F;ENTON, WASHINGTON,
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFIC'ATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF' REN.TON FROM
GENERAL CLASSIFICATION (G) TO BUSINESS DISTRICT
(B-1)
WHEREAS under Chapter VII , Title� .I:V (Building Regulations)
of Ordinance No. 1628 known as the "Code of General Ordinances of
the City of Reriton" , as amended, and the maps and reports .adopted
in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has
heretofore been zoned as Gerieral Classification (G) ; and
WHEREAS a proper petition for change of zone classification
of said property has been filed with: the City Clerk on or about
May 13, 1975 , whi:ch peti.tion was duly referred to the Planning Com-
mission for investigation, study and publ:ic hearing, and a public
hearing having been he.ld thereon on or about June. 25, 1975 , and
said hearing was thereafter duly continued, and said matter having
been duly considered by the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS the Planning Commission denied said application
for rezone; and
WHEREAS Petitioner-Owners thereupo:n filed a timely
appea� with the City Council to review the a��tion of the Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS the City Council establish�sd No.vember 10, 1975
as a date. .for hearing said appeal and due .no�tice thereof having been
g.iven as pr.ovided by law; and
WHEREAS said public hearing was du:Ly continued to
November 24 , 1975 ; and
WHEREAS the City Council has duly <,onsider.ed all matters
relevant thereto and all parties having be:eri heard appearing in
support thereof or in opposition thereto; anci
WHEREAS said rezoning re�uest is iii conformity with the
City' s Comprehensive Plan, NOW THEREFORE,

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON DO
' ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I : The action and deci;�ion of the Planning
Commission denying said rezoning request is hereby overruled.
The following described prope.rty in the Cit}� of Renton is hereby
rezoned to Business District (B-1) as hereir►below specified; the
Public Works Director and the Planning Direc:tor are hereby authorized
and directed to change the maps of the Zonir�g Ordinanee, as amended,
to evidence said reaoning, to-wit:
North 100 feet of the South 2I5 of the
following Tr.act: West half of t:he Northwest
Quarter of th.e Northwest Quarter� of the
No.rthwest Quarter of Section 15, Township 23 North,
Range 5 East, W.M. , in King Coun.ty, Washington.
fBeing known as the north 100 feet of the South
2/5cf Lot l, Martins Acre Tr.acts , according to
unrecorded Plat thereof. )
(Property located on Union Avenue N.E. next .to
Mobil Station across from Prairie Market)
SECTION II: Th'is Ordinance shall be effective upon
its passage, approval and five ( 5) days after its publication.
