t'HCR�S the State Legislature, in its 1959 and 1965 Sessions, passed certain
Acts relating to municipal c orpor8tions and authorizing the creation of an agency for
the purpoae of studying regional problems, and
t1HGREAS the Counties of King, Kitsap, Pierce and Snohomiah Srtd several of
the lsrge cities located therein have here tof ore organized and eatablished, pursuent
to the aforesaid statutes, the Puget Sound Governmental Conference for the purpose
of studying regional governm,ental problems of mutual concern to said municipal bodies,
a nd

��7HERF,�',S pursuant to the Articles of Association and Bylaws of said Conference
it is possible and advisahle for said cities to beeoa� membera and be associated with
said Conference and such assocfation being of mutua2 concern and benefit to all of
the municipel bodies 4�ithin the aforedescribod region� NQ�1 T�REFORF

WASHINGTOP?� AS FOLLQ��S:
S�CTION I: The above recitels and facts are hereby found to be true and
correct, The City of Renton hereby elects to become a member of and be associated
with the PUG�'I' SOUI�D GOVERI�IVTAL COrTFERENC� pursuant to the Artic2es of Aasoci�tion
and Bylaws of said Conference.
SECTION II: The City of Renton may from time to time, contribute to the
expenses of said nuget Sound Goverr�mental Conference in compliance with all statutory
budgetary law sad subject to f inal approval of its legislative body.
SSCTION III: The City of Renton shall further eppoint and designate, f rom
time to tf.me, proper representativea and alternates to s�id Conference and as further
provided in the Byler� thereof.
