ORDINANCE N0. 3074
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 1�802 (E) 4 Q�' TITLE Z CADMINISTRATIVE)
OF ORDINANCE N0. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON" RELATING TO
VACATION ACCRUAL FOR CERTAIN CITY PERSONNEL.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I : Existing Section 1-802CE) 4 of Title I (Administrative)
of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City
of Renton" is hereby amended to read as follows :
Section 1-802 (E) 4 (Vacations) :
The minimum vacation allowance to be taken by an employee
shall be one day, except that management personnel shall
be authorized to the use of vacation accrual in four hour
increments in lieu of eight hour increments . Officers and
employees as hereinabove defined, who are laid off, retired
or who resign after more than one year' s service , shall be
given proportionate vaca�ions earned in the current year,
together with any unused earned vacations for the preceding
calendar year before being separated from the payroll. On
the death of an employee in active service , pay shall be
allowed for any vacation earned in the preceding year and in
the current year and not taken prior to the death of such
employee.
SEC�'ION II : Any and all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III : This ordinance shall be effective upon its passage ,
approval and five days after its publication.
