ORDINANCE N0. 3092
TY. OF RENTON WASHINGTON ESTABLISHING
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CI , ,
AND CREATING. A SPECIAL FUND TO BE KNOWN AS THE "ANTI-
RECESSION FUND" AS AUTHORIZED BY P.ROVISIONS OF '�ITLE II OF •
THE PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYMENT ACT OF 1976 .
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REN.TON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS �'OLLOWS :
SECTION �I : There is hereby created a special fund to. be known
' as the "Anti-Recession Fund" intowhich shall be paid any and all payments
rece 'ived from the office of the Secretary of the Treasury or any other
Federal Agency for anti-recession fiscal assistance for the calendar
quarters beginning July l and October 1, 197.6, .as :authorized by the
provisions of Title II of the Public Works £mployment Act of 1976 .
SE.CTION II: All of such funds as heretofore or hereafter
received from th.e Feder.al governmerit under the aforecited statute sha11
be used onl for those ur oses set forth in Public Law 94-369 , 94th

Congress, i.e. for the employment of persons , the inaintenance of basic
services customarily pravided to persons within the City of Renton
provided, however, tha.t such funds may not be used for the purpose of
acquisition of supplies and materials and/br, for. construction anless same
are incidental to the maintenance of such basic services .
SECTION III: � The City si�a�:l�_;��urther provide periodic reports
to the Federal governmental agericy, as set forth in the aforecited
public law, which shall include the following:
a. Any change in the tax rate which local government imposes ,
b. Any reduction of five (50) per cent or more in the number
of full-time :per.sons employed by_ the City of Renton
c. Any reduction in the level of services provided by. the
City of Renton wh'ich amounts to five .(5%) per cent of
total operating budget allocated to providing such
services. .

Law 94-369 and the rules and regulations promul�ated thereunder.

SECTTON .I.V,: The Mayor and City Clerk, or the Mayor' s designated
representative, are .her.eby authorized and directed_ to. exe-cute. any and
all such reports and statements as req.uired by law.
SECTION ��: The. Ordinance shall be: effecti�e upon its passage,
approval and five days after its publication.
