AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, i
' CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION QF CERTAIN ,
PROPERTIES WITHIN. THE CITY C�' RENT.ON FROM RESIDENCE
DISTRICT (R-1) TO RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-3)
WHE�E�S under Chapter 7 , Title IV (Building Regulations)
of Ordinance No. 1628 known as the "Code .of General Ordinances of
the City of Renton" , as amended, and the maps and reports adopted
in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has
heretofore been zoned as Residence District (R-1) ; and
WHEREAS a proper petition for change of zone classification
of said property has been filed with the Planning Department on
or about May 15, 1978 , which , petition was duly referred to the
Hearing Examiner for investigation, study and public hearing, and
a public hearing having been held thereon on or about June 6 , 1978 ,
and said matter having been duly cc�nsidered by the Hearing Examiner
and said zoning request being in conformity with the City` s Compre-
hen�ive Plan, as amended, and the City Counc2l h�ving duly considered
all m«tter� relevan� thereto, and all �ar�ie� having been heard
appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto, NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described property in the City
o� Rentan is hereby rezoned to Residence District (R-3)as hereinbelow
specified; the Planning Director is hereby authorized and directed
to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence
said rezoning, to-wit:
Lot 16 , Block 19, Town of Renton
(Said property located at 417 Wells Avenue South,
Renton, Washington)

SECTION VI: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage , approval and five (5) days after its publication.
