ORD�NANCE N0. 3244
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY
AND PROPERTY RIGHTS BY EMINENT DOMAIN, PROVIDING
FpR THE PAYMENT THEREOF ; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO PREPARE A PETITION FOR CONDEMNATION
IN THE SUPERIOR COURT IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF
KING AND THE PROSECUTION THEREOF FOR THE ACQUISTION
OF SUCH PROPERTY AND PROPERY RIGHTS FOR CONSTRUCTION
IN RENTON, WASHINGTON OF��SANITARY SEWERS AND TRUNK ,
LINES AND APPURTENANCES THERETO. '

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE

CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON , AS FOLLOWS: ' � � '
SECTION I : The_: City of Reriton, :.-TrJashington, a municipal �.
corporation�, acting as a nancharter code city under the laws and
statutes of the State of Washington has been negotiating for the
acquisition of certain properties as herein more particularly
described for the purpose of constructing sanit�ry sewers and trunk
lines and appurtenances thereto.
SECTION II: It is hereby determined that the acquisition
of the following described property and property rights is necessary
and for a public purpose and use and that such property and property
rights are located within the corporate limits of the City of
Renton, the same being more particularly described as follows :
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a. part
hereof as if fully set forth herein.
and it is further acknowledged that the City is authorized by the
laws and statutes of the State of Washington to appropriate lands

and property rights , through the exercise of its right of eminent �
domain within its corporate limits necessary for the abovestated
purposes .
SECTION III: The City Attorney is hereby authorized and
directed to commence condemnation proceedings against the owners
and all other parties in interest in the above-described �.ands
� and improvements , if any, as p�ovic�ed by law; to prepare the necessary

petition for condemnation; and commence and prosecute such action
in the Superior Court in and for the County of King against all the I
owners and inte�ested parties in the hereinabove described property; �
and to acquire the aforedescribed property and property rights for
the City of Renton. Such proceedings shall be to ascertain the Just
I Compensation for the appropriatcion of such property rights by I
the City of Renton. I
SECTION IV: Compensation for the acquisition of said !

property and property rights shall be made from monies heretofore
committed by the City of Renton for the acquisition of pr.operty
and construction of said Local Improvement District No . 297 .
SECTION V: Nothing in this Ordinance shall be construed
as a waiver by the City of Renton to its right to decline to •take
and pay for said property and property rights after the amount of
Just Compensation has been ascertained and within the time allowed

. SECTION VI : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
