� ' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ,
AMENDING A PORTION OF CHAPTER 10, TITLE II
(COMMISSIONS AND BOARDS) OF ORDINANCE N0 . 1628
ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF RENTON" RELATING TO LIMITING TERMS OF OFFICE
FOR COMMISSION MEMBERS �
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON , DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: �
SECTION I: Existing Section 2-1002 (B) of Chapter 10
of Title II (COMMISSIONS AND BOARDS) of Ordinance No . 1628
entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton'; .
�s"hereb�,;.amended to read as follows : •
Section 2-1002 (B) , as amended: Members of the Commission
shall be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation or
concurrence by a majority of Council members for a period of
two ( 2) years; each such member shall serve until his or her
� successor has been appointed and qualified. Any vacancy on the
Commission shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same
manner as the original appointment. The appointing authority
has the right to remove any member of the Commission for good
cause shown with concurrence of the City Gouncil after due hearing.
SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
pasaage, approval and five days after its publication.
