APd ORDINAt�10E OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
DECLARING THE RENTON FIRE DEPARTMENT AS THE "HAZARDOUS
MATERIAL INCIDENT COMMAND"
WHEREAS Substitute House Bi11 154 requir�s all political
subdivisions within the State of Washington to designate a
Hazardous Matzrial Incident Command Agency, and
WHEREAS th� Fir� Department of the City of Renton is the
appropriate agency to assume that f.unction, NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTOI°I, WASHINGTON, DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I : Pursuant with RCW chapter 70. 136. 030, the City
of Renton hereby designates the Renton Fir� Department as a
Hazardous �Iaterials Incident Command Agency within its resp�ctiv�
boundaries, except to the ext�nt the Washington State Patrol has
such responsibility along State and Interstate highway corridors.
SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval an�l five days afte.r publication.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 14th day of September, 1987 .
