A PORTION OF CHAPTER 12 OF TITLE IX (PUBLIC WAYS AND
PROPERTY) OF ORDINAIVCE IoIO. 162$ ENTITLED "CODF OF
GENERAL ORDINANCES 0�' THE CITY OF RENTON" k2ELATINC TO
FLEXI�ILTTY FOR II�ISURAAICE REQUIR�MEIv1TS
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHT1oTG°PON, D�
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I : Existing subsect� on (8) of S?ction 9-2205 of
Title 9 (Pu�lic Ways and Property) of Ordinanc� N�. 1528 enti.tl�d
"Code �f General Ordinances af the City �f Renton" i� hereby
amended a� f_ollows:
Secticn 9-1205 (B) , �s amended: Any permittee shall
provide, prior to the issuance of any such revocable per�nit,
sufficient public liability and property �amage insuranc� with
limits caf nat l�ss than one hundred thous�nd dallars/three
hundred thousand dollars ( $100 ,000 . 00/$300 ,000 . 00 ) on account o`
public liability and not less than iifty thousand doJ_lars
( $50 ,000 .00 ) on account of prop�rt.y damage. Copies af such
insur�nce golicy or golicies �hal1. be furni�he� unto the City
with a spEcial endorsement in favor of the City. Upon showing of
a harc7ship and at the discretion of the Board o� Public Works,
the insurance requirem�nts may be reduce�3 or waiv�d for single-
f.amily or two-family resic�entia� �.pplications. �'or
municipalities or utilities that are sel� insured, there may be
sui�stituted a statement of s�lf injurance showin� the ability t�
answer for damages in the �mounts statec� in tk�is paragraph .
