AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTIES WITHIT�T THE CITY OF RENTON FROM
S��NGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE D�STRI�CT �R-1) TO
" BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1) (R=;208-78 ) .
WHEREAS under Chapte_r 7 , Title IV (Bui7.ding Regulations)

of Ordinance No. 1628 known as the "Code of General Ordinances
of the City of Renton" , as amended, and the maps and reports
adopted in conjunction. therewith, the property hereinbelow de,scribed
has heretofore been zoned as Single Family Residence Distr.ict (R-1) ;
and
WHEREAS a proper peti-�ion for change of zone classi-
fication of said property rias been filed with the Planning Department
on or about July 24, 1978 which petition was duly referred to
the Hearing Examiner for investigation, study and public hearing,
and a public hearing having been held thereon on or about August
29, 1978 , and said matter having been duly considered by _the
Hearing Examiner and said zoning request being in conformity
with the City's Comprehensive Plan, as amended, ,and the City
Council havir�g duly considered all matters relevant thereto,
and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof
or in opposition thereto, NOW TH£REFORE • .
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I: The following described property in the
City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Business Distr-ict (B-1) as
hereinbelow specified; subject to the findings , conclusions and
� decision dated September l, 1978 ;the Planning Director is hereby
authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, '�
as amended, to evidence said rezon.ing, to-wit: I

A. Kelly Addition as recorded in Volume 23 of
Plats, page 24 , records of King County, Washington,
together with that portion of Victoria Avenue
adjacent as vacated by City of Renton Ordinance
No. 1902 .
(Said property being located on Lake Avenue South
between South Victoria Street and South Second
Street)
AND SUBJECT FURTHER to that certain Declaration of Restrictive
Covenants executed by Petitioner-owners on or about
and recorded in the office of the Director of Records and Elections ,
Receiving No. 7810190761 and which said covenants are hereby
incorproated and made a part hereof as if fully set forth.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective upon
its passage , approval and five ( 5) days after its publication.
