ORDINANCE NO. 4092
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO TH.E CITY OF RENTON
(RYDER/gEIL A-004-$6 )
WHEREAS under the provisions of RCW 35A.14 .120 , �s amended ,
a petition in writing reauesting that certain territory
�
� contiguous to the City of Renton, as described below, � be annexed
�
� to the City of Renton, was presented and filed with the City
� Clerk cn or ��bout June 17 , 1986, and
� WHEREAS prior to the filing and circulation of said r�etition
�
ror annexation to the City of Renton, the petitioning owners
notified the City Council of their intention to comm?nc� such
proceedings as provided by law, and as more particularly
sp2cified in RCW 35. 13. 125 and upon public hearing thereon, it
having been determined and the petitioning owners having agreed
to assume the pre-existing bonded indebtedn�ss of the City of
Renton as it pertains to the tarritory petitioned to be annexed;
and to accept that porti�n of the City' s Compr�hensiv� Plan as it
pertains to the territory including the applicable zoning code
relating thereto, and
WHEREAS the Policy Devel�pment Department has examined and
verified the signatures on the netition for annex�tions an�3
determined the assessed valuation of all the properties , the same

being in excess of seventy-five percent (75$ ) of the area to be
annexed, in value, as provided by law and the petition also
setting forth the legal description of the property according to
government legal subdivision or plat and the Policy Development
Dep3rtment of the City of Renton having considered and
recommended the annexing of said property to the City of Renton;
a nd
WHEREAS the City Council fixed July 13 , 19$7 at 8: 00 P. M.
as th� time and place for public hearing in the City Council
� Chambers, City Hall, Renton, Washington, upon the petition and
� notice thereof having been given as provided by law, and

� WHEREAS pursuant to said notice a public hearing has been
'r'� held at the time and place specified in the notice and the

� Council having considered all matters in connection with the
petition and further determined that all legal requirements and
procedures of the law applicable to the petition method for
annexation as specified in RCW 35. 13.130 et seq have been
complied with, and
WHEREAS a "Notice of Intention" having been filed with the
King County Boundary Review Board as required by law, and the
Boundary Review Board having waived its jurisdiction as per its
, letter dated October 5, 1987.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION I: The findings, recitals and determinations are
hereby found to be true and correct in all resppcts; all
requirements of the law in regard to th� annexation by petition

method, including the provisions of RCW 35. 13.125. 130 , 140 , 1150
and Chapter 189 , Session Laws of 1967, have been complied with.
It is further d�termined that the petition for annexation to the
City of Renton of the prooerty and territory described below is
hereby approved and granted; the following described property
being contiguous to the City Limits of the City of Renton, is
hereby annexed to the City of Renton and such annexation to �e
effective on and after the approval, passage and publication of
� this Ordinance; and an and . after said date the property shall
� constitute a part of the City of Renton and shall be subject to

� all its laws and ordinances then and thereafter in force and
�
� effect; the property being described as tollows:

See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if
fully set forth herein.
and the owners-petitioners of the property shall assume the pre-
existing bonded indebtedness of the City of Renton as prescribed
in RCW 35 .13. 126 as it pertains to the property, and the property
to be subject to the City' s Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code.
SECTION II : This Ordinance shall be effective upon its
passage, approval and five days after its publication.
A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the
l King County Council, State of Washington, and as otherwise
provided by law. -= _

SECTION III: The annexed property, contiguous to Precinct
No. 41-4 of the City of Renton shall be and constitute a part
of the Precinct No. 41-4 of said City.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 2nd day of November; - 1987 .

That portion af Section 3, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M., King
County, Washington more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the center of said Section 3;
� Thence Easterly along the North line of the Southeast 1/4 of said Sectian
� 3, said line also being the existing limits of the City of Renton as annexed by
O Ordinance Number 3972, to the Northeast corner of the Northwest 1/4 of the
� Southeast 1/4 of said Section 3;
� Thence Southerly along the East line of said subdivision to the Northeast
� corner of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 3; -.
� Thence continuing Southerly along the East line of said Southwest 1/4 to
� an intersection with the Southerly Right-of-Way Line of Sunset Highway (SR-900,
PSH No. 2, S.E. Renton-Issaquah Road) said Right-of-Way being 60 feet in width,
36 feet each side of centerline; �
Thence Northwesterly along said Southerly Right-of-Way to an intersection
with the South Line of a parcel of iand deeded to King County in Volume 4817,
Page 157 for roadway purposes, a distance of 110 feet more or less;
Thence West along said South line to a point being 60 feet Southwesterly
of and radial to the centerline of said Sunset Highway;
Thence Northwesterly parallel with and 60 feet Southwesterly of said �
roadway centerline to the Easterly Right-of-Way Line of 142nd Avenue S.E.,
