AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHING'TON
- � AMENDING PORTIONS OF _CHAPTER 19 OF TITLE IV (BUILDING
' REGULA'fIONS) "OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE

RELATTNG TO CL�TH ;SIGNS OVER PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY
AND ELIMINATING FEE THEREFOR.

' THE �CITY COU1�iCIL OF THE CITY OF=��RENTON, WASHINGTON DO
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing subsection 4 C. of Section 4-1903 of Title IV (Building
'� .
Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of
the City of Renton" is hereby deleted in its entirety.

SECTION II: Existing subsection 2 C. of Section 4-1915 of Title IV (Building
Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the
City of Renton" is amended to read as follows:
4-1915 2. C., as amended" Clearance. Cloth signs may extend across
a public right of way only by permission of the Mayor's office or his designated
representative, and shall be subject to all related laws and ordinances. Temporary
signs, other than cloth, when eight feet (8') or more above the ground, may
project not more than six inches (6") over public property or beyond the legal
setback line.
SECT'ION III: Existing subsection 2 of Section 4-1916 of Title IV (Building
Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of General Ordinances of
the City of Renton" is hereliy amended to read as follows:
4-1916 2., as amended: Cloth signs may be extended over a public right
of way in accordance with the provisions of This Code for a period to be established
by the Mayor or his designated representative but not to exceed �p days.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall be e#fective upon its rassage and approval
and five days after its publication.
