WHEREAS a proper petition for v�.cating a partion of S.W. Victoria St. �
Renton, King County; Washington, was duly fiied with the City Clerk on or about May
16, �979, a.nd said petitian having been signed by owners representing more than ,
two-thirds of the property abutting upon such street sought ta be vacated; and
WHEREAS the City Couneil by Resolution No. 2277 passed and approved on
June 4, 1979, and after due investigation, dici fix and determine the 25th day of �'une,
1979, at the haur of 8:Od P.M. in the City Couneil Chambers of the City af Renton
to be the time and plaee for � public hearing thereon, and the City Clerk having given I
due notiee of sueh hearing in the manner pravided by law, and all persons having been I
heard appearing in favor or in opposition thereto, and
WHEREAS the Department af Public Worl�s and the Planning Dep�artment •
of the City of R.enton having duly cansidered said petition for said vae�.tion, and having
found same to be in the public .interest and for the public benefit, and no injury or
damage to any person or properties will result from such.vacations;

BE AND �TI�E SAME,IS HEREBY VACATED SUBJECT to an easement over, across,
under and on all of the aforedescribed property in f�vor of the City for utility and
', related purposes.
SECTION II: The Gity Council hereby elects to eharge a fee of IJ2 af
appraised value of $5,1G:&�$.3�00,t sq.:f t:to Petitioner-Owners, said amount not exeeediz�g
one-ha.lf of the City's appraisal of tl�e right-of-way interest herein vacated, and sueh
charge being reasonable and proper.

SECTIC�N III: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval

A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the Office of Records

That portion of SW V�,�toria Street having a width of 60 feet, lying
westerly of the westerly right-of-way line of Lake Avenue South extended;
southerly of lots 8 and 9., block 2, plat of Victoria A. Kelly Addition as
recorded in Volume 23 of plats, page 24, records of King County Washington
and also south of tracts 3, 4, ,and 5 Renton Shorelands 2nd Supplemental;
easterly of the westerly line of said Shorelands and northerly of the north
line of Tract 6 said Renton Shorelands 2nd Supplemental.
