ORDINANCE NO. 3983
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY.OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFI.CATION.OF CERTAIN_
PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY.OF RENTON AND
ELIMINATING CERTAIN PARCELS,THEREFROM (AREA -WIDE
VALLEY REZONE
WHEREAS under Chapter 7, Title IV (Building Regulations) of
Ordinance No. 1628 known as the "Code of General.Ordinances of the
City of Renton", as amended, and the mapsland reports.adopted in
conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has hereto-
fore been zoned various zoning classifications;. and
WHEREAS the City of Renton initiated a proceeding for change
of zone classifications of said property. The matter was duly referred
to the Planning Commission for investigation, study.and public hearing
and a public hearing having been held thereon on or about November 6,
1985 and continued to November 26 and December 11, 1985,.and the
Planning Commission having recommended certain rezonings to the City
Council; and
WHEREAS the City Council held its own public hearing on this
rezone and referred the matter to the Council's Planning and Development
Committee for study and recommendation; and the Planning and Development
Committee having held public meetings on the rezones but no majority
recommendation being forthcoming on certain properties; and the City
Council having determined that a portion of the proposed area -wide rezone
should in fact be rezoned while certain other property within the area -
wide rezone should undergo further study, NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:

MP Zone
That portion of Section 25 and 36, Township 23 North, Range 4 East
and Sections 19, 30 and 31, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M., King
County, Washington more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the intersection of the South Right -of -Way Line of
Southwest 43rd Street (S. 180th St..), said line also being the existing
limits of the City of Renton as annexed under Ordinance No. 3031, with
the Westerly Right -of -Way Line of State Sign Route No. 167 (P.S.H. No.
5);
Thence West along said city limits line to an intersection with
the center line of East Valley Road (92 nd,Ave. S.) said point being
the True Point of Beginning;
Thence North along said centerline to its intersection with the
westerly extention of the Northerly boundary line of the City of Renton
Short Plat No. 014-81 as recorded in King County under Auditors File
Number 8105209001;
Thence East along said Northerly Boundary Line and its westerly
extention to the Westerly Right -of -Way Line of State Sign Route No. 167
(P.S.H. No. 5);
Thence Northerly along said Westerly Right -of -Way Line to an
intersection with the easterly extention of the centerline of S.W. 21
Street (S. 158th St., Sixth Avenue) said right of way being 60.0 feet in
width;
Thence West along said centerline and its easterly extention to
the centerline of Lind Ave. S.W. (87th Ave. S.)said right of way being
80.0 feet in width;
Thence South along said centerline to the North line of Section
30, Township 23 North, Range 5 East;
Thence West along said North line South 89-55-58 West to the
Northeast corner of Section 25, Township 23 North, Range 4 East W.M.;
Thence continuing Westerly along the North line of said Section 25
North 87-18-57 West to an intersection with the East line of the Henry
A. Meader Donation Claim Number 46;
Thence Southerly along said East line South 2-46-03 West to the

Right -of -Way being 30 feet in width;
