HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 4000CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON ORDINANCE NO. 4000 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY,OF RENTON, WASHINGTON CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM GENERAL CLASSIFICATION DISTRICT (G-1) TO MANUFACTURING PARK (M -P) (R-011-86 FIRST CITY EQUITIES) WHEREAS under Chapter 7, Title IV (Building Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628 known as "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton", as amended, and the maps and reports adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as General Classification District (G-1); and WHEREAS a proper petition for change of zone classification of said property has been filed with the Building and Zoning Department on or about February 12, 1986, which petition was duly -referred to the Hearing Examiner for investigation, study and public hearing; and a public hearing having been held thereon on or about April 1, 1986, and said matter having been duly considered by the Hearing Examiner and said zoning request being in conformity with the City's Comprehenesive Plan, as amended, and the City Council having duly considered all matters relevant thereto, and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto, NOW THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Manufacturing Park (M -P) as herein- below specified; subject to the findings, conclusions and decision ORDINANCE NO. 4000 of the Hearing Examiner dated April 9, 1986; the Building and Zoning Director is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to evidence said rezoning, to -wit: See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein. (Said property being located at the Northwest corner of Powell Avenue S.W. and S.W. Grady Way.) SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective upon its passage, approval and five days after its publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 9th day of June, 1986. Maxine E. PSE R/W,REZONE PARCEL ORDINANCE NO. 4000 Exhibit A LEGAL DESCRIPTION That portion of the South half of the Northeast quarter of Section 24, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M., described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the North line of South 153rd Street (James Nelson Road) with the East line of the Northwest quarter of the Southeast quarter of said Section 24; thence Westerly along the North line of said Street 350 feet; thence Northerly at right angles to said 153rd Street 825 feet more or less to a point 75 feet South of, as measured at right angles, to the Southerly line of the abandoned 100 foot wide Northern Pacific right-of-way, as conveyed by instrument recorded under Recording No. 72322 and the True Point of Beginning; thence continuing Northerly at right angles to said 153rd Street to the South line of said abandoned Northern Pacific right-of-way; thence Northeasterly along the South line of said right-of-way to the West line of Powell Avenue S.W. as conveyed to the City of Renton under Recording No. 8309300560; thence Southerly along said West line to the Northerly line of the Renton -Black River Junction Road; thence Southwesterly along said Northerly line to the East line of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of said Section 24; thence Northerly 25.69 feet more or less along said East line, to a point S. 0-15-30 E. a distance of 633.21 feet from the Northeast corner of the Southwest quarter of the Northeast quarter of said Section 24; thence South- westerly parallel to the South line of said abandoned Northern Pacific right-of-way a distance of 377 feet more or less to the True Point of Beginning.
