HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1811�f%S5e5 r ORDINANCE NO. lgf // AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM SINGLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-1) TO PUBLIC USE DISTRICT (P-1). WHEREAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as single residence district (R-1); and WHEREAS , under the provisions of the aforementioned Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change hof zone classificationcf said property to Public Use District (P-1) has been .filed with the City Clerk of .the City of:Renton on or about November 25, 1959, wizich petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission for investigation, public hearing and study, and a public hearing having been held t'Lzereon on or 'about December 9, 1959 in the Council Chambers of the City of.Renton, all pursuant to Notice of Hearing duly published and posted as provided by law, and said'Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said petition, and having duly considered all protest and objections thereto; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The oilowing described parcel of property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Public Use District (P'-1) as specified below; the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinances of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as follows: That portion of the West 178 feet of the North 271 feet of the South 437 feet ofthe Northwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of .Section 9, Town- ship 23 North, Range 5, E.W.M., lying Southerly of the Sunset Highway (PSH No. 2), all situate in Renton, King County, Washington, and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and Ordinances of the City of Renton and in compliance with the plans and specifications heretofore submitted by petitioners -owners of said property. SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this day of January, 1960. VtRN H.
