HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 18361 ORDINANCE NO-. � AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON., ANNEXING CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF.RENTON. WHEREAS under the provisions .of Chapter 128 of the 1945 Session Laws of the State of Washington, as amended, a. -petition in writing requesting that certain territory contiguous to the City Limits of the City of Renton, as here- inafter more particularly described', be annexed to the City, was prepared and filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about May 10, 1960, bearing the signatures of the owners of more than seventy-five per (75%) in value according to the assessed valuation for general taxation of the territory for which annexation is petitioned herein, which petition sets forth the legal description of the property according to.governmental legal subdivision or plats and was accompanied by.a plat or drawing outlining the boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed and the City having duly determined that said petition fully complied with all the requirements of the law and the City.Council being desirous of entertaining said petition; and the Planning -Commission of the City of -Renton having heretofore considered and recommended the annexing of :said property to the City; and WHEREAS the City Council of the.City of"Renton fixed Tuesday, May 24, 1960 at 9:00 p -.m. at the City Council Chambers in the City Hall of .the City of.Renton, as the time and place for public hearing upon said petition, and public notice thereof having been given as required by law, including publication in the City's legal newspaper, inviting all interested persons to appear thereat and voice approval or disapproval of or objections to the proposed annexation, and a public hearing having been held at the time and place specified in afore" said notice, and the Council having been advised in the premises and having heard all matters and interested parties in connection therewith•, and the granting of said petition as hereafter described, being deemed proper and advisable and in the public interest, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: Pursuaint. to the provisions of :Chapter 128 of the 1945 Session Laws of the .Stake of--Vashington, as ascended',, it is determined that the above mentioned petition for annexation to the City of Renton of the property and territory hereinbelow described be and it is hereby approved and granted, and the follawing,described property ,being contiguous to the City Limits of the City of Renton situated in Ring County, :State of 'Washington, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Renton, effective on and after the passage, approval and publication:of this Ordinance; anti an and after that date said territory shall constitute a part of the City of Renton and shall be subject to all the laws and ordinances then thereafter enforced; said property being described as follows:: Lots -.1 AM 4$ .Black 20 . C, : D. KillwAm's lake .Washington Garden of Eden Division No. 7, as Recorded in Volume 16 of ..Plats,, Page 18, Records of Xing County*Vashington, plus that portion of:S,.E, 80th Street adj*scent to said Lot 1 on the North, all situate in King County,.Washington. .SECTION IIz The above described annexed property contiguous to Precinct No. of the City of Renton shall be and constitute a part of Precinct No. Qpf the. City of Benton. SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication as provided by law.
