AN ORDERANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WMINGMN, CHANGING THE
ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF
RENTON FROM PUBLIC USE DISTRICT (P-1) TO BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1)
WHERFAS, under Ordinance No. 1472, as amanded, And the maps adopted in conjunction
therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as Public Use
District (P-1); and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended.,, a proper
petition for change of zone classification of said property to Business District (B-1)
has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about January 9, 1961,
vhi.ch petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission for investigation,
public hearing ani study and a public hearing thereon having been held on February 8,
1961 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to Notice of Hearing
duly published and posted as provided by law, and said Planning Commission having duly
considered and studied said petition; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY OD UNC IL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of Renton io
hereby rezoned to Business District (B-1) as specified below; the City Engineer is
hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City
of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as follows:
Portion of Henry H. Tobin Donation Claim No, 37, Section"'.18,
Township 23 North, Range 5 East W.M., Beginning at the inter-
section of the center line of Shattuck Street and 2nd Avenue;
thence North 0036t0" East 318.64 feet; thence North 88013tO"
West 346.07 feet to the true point of beinning; thence South
003610" West 240.5 feet; thence North 8991145» West 159.86 feet;
thence North 7052148" West 241.65 feet; thence South 8902410"
East 195.49 feet to the true point of beginning, all situate in
the City of Menton, King County, Washington
and said rezoning to be subject to the 1 aws and ordi.nanc es of the City. of Renton and in
compliance with the plans and specifications heretofore submitted by petitioners -owners
of said property which plans are dated December 12, 1960.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval ani legal publications
