AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINIGTON, CHANGING THE
ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF
RENTON TO RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-3).
WHEREAS under Ordinance No. 1472 as amended, and the maps adopted in
conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described had heretofore been zoned
R-3 under the applicable King County Zoning Regulations and
UREAS said property has heretofore been annexed to the City of Renton and
no zoning classification having heretofore been fixed or determined by said City; and
WHEREAS under the provisions of .the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, the
City Council upon its own motion has initiated the re -zoning of the hereinbelow described
property, which matter has been duly referred to the Planning Commission of the City
of Renton and its report being on file therein, and a public hearing thereon having
been held on March 21, 1961 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant
to Notice of Hearing duly published and posted as provided by law; NOW THEREFORE
FCLMJS :
BE IT ORDAINED BY THF, TIAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'T'Y OF RENTON AS
SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of Renton
is hereby re -zoned to Residence District (R-3) as specified below: The City Engineer
and the City Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps
of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this re -zoning; said property
being described as follows:
That portion of Government Lot 8, Section 17, Township 23 North, Range
5 E.W.M. lying south of the Maple Valley Highway and lying northerly of
the existing City Limits, together with that portion of Government Lot
2 lying south of the Maple Valley Highway in Section 16, Township 23
North, Range 5, E. W.M. lying northerly and westerly of the existing
City Limits, less that area previously rezoned B-1 by City of Renton

and said re -zoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton.amk

SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect froirt and
after its passage, approval and legal publication.
