ORDINANCE NO. / 9,5'1 AN (RMNANCE OF THE CITY OF R-EMON,WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLA6SIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM HWIDIIdCE DISTRICT (R-2) to R-4 District (APART- MENT HORSES AND MiTLTIPLE DWELLINGS) WHERFAS under Ordinance N6* 472, as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as Residence District (R-2); and WHEREAS under the provision of the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of a portion of the h9rein- below described property has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about January 59 1961 and the City Council on its own motion has further initiated the re zoning of the balance of the hereinbelow described property, which petition and Council action were then duly submitted to tha Planning Conmd.ssion for investigation, and study and a public hearing relative to the re -zoning of all of the hereinbelow described property having been duly held on April 4, 1961 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to Notice of Hearing duly published and posted as provided by law, and said Planning Commission then duly considered this matter and recommended the re -zoning of said properties to the City Council; NOW THMEFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLt IS: SECTION L: The following described parcels of property in the City of Renton are hereby re -zoned to R-4 District (Apartment houses and multiple dwellings) as specified below; the City Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorizeland directed-; to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinances of the City of Renton to evidence this re -zoning; said properties being described as follows Lots 51 6 & 7, of Block 1 of Kenton Farm Plat as recorded in Volume 10 of Plats, Page 97, records of King County, Washington; also that portion of Section 171, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, W.M., des- cribed as follows: Beginning at the Northwesterly corner of said Lot 7; thence Northwesterly along the Southerly Right of Way of 1st Avenue North a distance of 6660 feet; thence Southwesterly parallel with and 66.0 feet Westerly of the Westerly line of said Lot 7 to the Northerly Right -&f -achy line of Commercial Waterway No. 2; thence Southeasterly along said Northerly Right -of -Way line to the South- easterly corner of said Lot 7; thence Northeasterly along the Westerly line of said Lot 7 too the point of beginning. Ala G and said re -zoning to be subject to the lags and ordinances of the City of Renton. SECTION II; This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE QTY COUNCIL this 11th day of April, 1961.
