AN ORDIkA NCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHIN TON, AMENDING
SECTION 8-309 OF TITLE VIII (HEALTH AND S91TATION) OF
ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF RENTON".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing Paragraph (A) and (B) of Section 8-309 of
Title VIII (Health and �Onitation) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "Code of
General Ordinances of the City of Renton" reading as follows:
Section 8-309 RATE FOR CHARGES: The following schedule be
and the same is hereby adopted as a basis of classification and as a schedule
of charges to be paid to and collected by the City for services rendered.
(A) Collection of garbage, refuse and swill from residential dwellings
shall be made once each week and the charges therefor shall be as follows:
1. For "garbage cans" and/or "garbage Unitit
s: as herein defined, placed
not more than twenty-five feet (251) from the point of pickup:
Not more than 2 cans per week

(B) Collection of garbage, refuse and swill from business firms and
commercial enterprises shall be made each week day and the charges to be as follows:
1. For the first twenty (20) "garbage cans" and/or "garbage unitsu as
herein defined $ .25 per can per month
2. Any "garbage cans" or''garbage units" as herein defined, in excess
of twenty (20) cans per month $ .15 per can per month
Provided, however, that the minimum monthly charge for each such business
or commercial account shall be the sum of one dollar and thirty-five cents ($1.35)
per month.
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

2. Any "garbage cans" or "garbage units" as herein defined, in excess
of twenty (20) cans per month $ .22 per can per month
Provided, however, that the minimum monthly charge for each such business
or commercial account shall be the sum of (two dollarso($2 0Q)+., _:- .

SECTION II: Sub -paragraph (C) and (D) of said Section 8-309 shall
continue to remain in full force and effect.
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
