HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1889ORDINANCE NO. l AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AMENDING SECTION 10-1-107,OF TITLE X (TRAFFIC) OF,ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF,GENERAL ORDINANCES OF.THE CITY OF RENTON". BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION is Existing Section 10-1-107, as amended, of Title X (Traffic) of Ordinance No. 1628 entitled "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CI'T'Y OF RENTON" reading as follows: Section 10-1-107 as amended - ADDITIONAL SPEED LIMITS: The speed on all streets within the City lunits shall be. twenty -f ive (25), miles per hour, except that on the following streets and highways within the City the maximum lawful speed shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour, to -wit: 1. Dunlap Canyon Road (formerly State Highway No. 10) from Rainier Avenue to the westerly City limits 2. Rainier Avenue from Airport Way to the northerly City limits. 3. Airport Way (also known as Dixie Avenue)from Rainier Avenue to Logan Street; also Logan Street from Airport Way to Eighth Ave. North. 4. Grady Way from Main Street to the intersection"of State Highway #5. 5. Sunset Avenue (formerly Sunset Highway) from a point three hundred feet (3001) north of Bronson Way to the east City limits. 6. Benson Highway from its intersection with Main Street and Grady Way to the South City limits. 7. S. E. 128th Street (also known as Cemetery Road) from "M" Street to the east City limits. 3. Rainier Avenue from its intersection with Seventh Avenue to 153rd Street and its intersection with Primary State Highway No. 5, also known as the East Valley Highway. The speed limit on Primary State Highway No. 5, also known as the East Valley Road, from its intersection of 153rd Street and extending to its intersection with 180th Street is hereby fixed and established at 45 miles per hour, as the maximum lawful speed. BE AND THEP-SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: Section 10-1-107, as amended - ADDITIONAL SPEED LIMITS: The speed on all streets within the City limits shall be twenty-five (25) miles per hour, except that on the following streets and highways within the City the maximum lawful speed shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour, to -wit: 1. Dunlap Canyon Road (formerly State Highway No. 10) from Rainier Avenue to the westerly City limits.. 2. Rainier Avenue from its intersection with 153rd Street to the northerly City limits. 3. Airport Way (also known as Dixie Avenue)from Rainier Avenue to Logan Street; also Logan Street from Airport Way to Eighth Ave. North.. -1 M � � 4.
