HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1894a '�- ORDINANCE N0. / 1 R AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CREATING AND ESTABLISHING A "CUMULATIVE RESERVE FUND FOR THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF A CITY HALL, CIVIC CENTER AND ALTERATION AND ADDITION.TO MUNICIPAL BUILDINGS; AND THE PAYMENT OF CONSULTANT, ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES IN CON- NECTION THEREWITH." BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: There is hereby established a Cumulative Reserve Fund pursuant to the provisions of RGW-,;3&#21.070, as amended, to be known as the "Cumulative Reserve Fund for the Acquisition, Construction and Improvement of a City Hall, Civic Center and Alteration and .Addition to Municipal Buildings; and the Paymentof Consultant, Engineering and Architectural Services". SECTION II: All monies, received by the City of Renton from the lease and/or sale or other disposition of its former City Hall premises located at 227 Wells Street, Renton, King County, Washington shallbe deposited in said fund, together with such additional funds as may be appropriated by the City from time to time. All mond.&S in said fund may be allowed to accumulate from year to year until the City Council of the City of Renton shall determine to expend the monies therein for the purpose or purposes y specified in this Ordinance. �. SECTION III: That any monies in said fund shall never be expended for any other purpose or purposes than that specified without an approving vote by a majority of the electors of the City of Renton at a general or special election, voting on a proposal submitted to the electors to allow other specified use or uses to be made of said fund, unless otherwise provided by law.
