HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1899ORDINANCE NO. / f/ 1' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTCN 2 WASH1713 TON CHANGING THE ZONING CIASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN P OPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2) TO LIGHT INDUSTRY DISTRICT (L-1) WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regultions), or Ordinance No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as Residence District (R-2); and WHEREAS under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of the hereinbelow described property has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about June 5, 1961., which Petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission for investigation,public hearing and study, and a public hearing having been held thereon on June 28, 1961 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law; and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said petition and having heard all parties appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; now therefore M HAWS: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OF RENTON AS SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of Renton is hereby rezcned to Light Industry District (L-1) as specified below; the City Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as follows: Lots 30 and 31, Block 21, C. D. Hillman t s Earlington Gardens Addition Division No. 1,LESS the south 15 feet of said Lot 31, all situate in Renton, King County, Washington and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton. SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, app: oval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this day of July, 1961.
