HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1901ORDINANCE NO. / f d I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON CHANGING THE ZDNING CIASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY ti,ETHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM PUBLIC USE DI8TRICT (P-1) TO BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1) WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Buildi rg Regula tions ), of Ordinance No. 1628, mown as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" as amended, and the craps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as Public Use District (P-1); and WHEREAS under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of the hereinbelmT described property has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or abut June 3, 1961, which Petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission for investigation, public hearing and study, and a public hearing having been held thereon on June 28, 1961 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law; and said Planning Commission having duly 1 considered and studied said petition and having heard all parties appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS IFO LLOO : SECTION I: The f olloidng described parcel crf property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Business District (B-1) as specified below; the City Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the . Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as follows: Lots 3 to 12 inclusive, Block 3, Motor Line Addition to Renton; Tracts 16, 17, 128, 41, 42 and 43 of Tobin Donation Claim; and Lots 1 and 2, Block 7, Renton Real Estate Company's First Addition to Renton, all situate in Renton, King County, Wash. and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton. SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its pa ssage,approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this ld G�h1day of July, 1961.
