HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1902w I y� ORDINANCE NO. f �'D AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGDN, VACATING A PORTION OF VICTORIA AVENUE, LOCATED IN THE CITY OF RENTON, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON. WHEREAS a proper petition for vacating of a portion of a certain street as hereinafter more particularly described, was duly filed with the City Clerk on or about June 6, 1961, signed by all the owners of the property abutting upon said portion of the street sought to be vacated, which petition was read at the regular meeting of the City Council on said date;,,and WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No. 1095 and after due investi- gation did fix and determine July 11, 1961, at 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton to be the time and place for a public hearing thereon and directed the Clerk to give notice of such hearing in the manner provided by law; and WHEREAS the City Clerk has duly caused notice of such hearing to be published and to be posted for the time and in the manner provided by law; and WHEREAS the public hearing was duly held upon said petition on the day so fixed and the City Council having duly considered the matter and finding that such vacation is in the public interest and for the public benefit and will not cause injury or damage to any properties or persons; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described portion of Victoria Avenue, to -wit: That portion of Victoria Avenue adjacent to Lots 9, 10, 11 and 12 of Block 1, Victoria A. Kelly Addition as recorded in Volume 23 of Plats, page. 24, records of King County, State of Washington BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY VACATED, subject to and reserving, however, unto the City of Renton a certain 10 foot easement for utility and other purposes, and said easement being centered within the street right of way hereinabove described. - 1 - ` c f SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be effective from and after its passage, approval and legal publication provided by law.
