HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1917w ORDINANCE NO. 1917 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM GENERAL CLASSIFICATION DISTRICT (G) TO BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1) AND RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-4 - HIULTIPLE HOUSING) WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton', as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the properties herein- below described have heretofore been zoned as General Classification District (G); and WHEREAS under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of the hereinbelow described properties has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about September 5, 1961, which petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Com- mission for investigation, study and public hearing, and a public hearing having been held thereon on September 27, 1961 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law; and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said petition, and having made certain recommendation in connection therewith, and having heard all parties appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOL10JS: SECTION I: The following described parcels of property in the City of Renton are hereby rezoned to Business District (B-1).and Residence District (R-4, Multiple Housing) respectively and as further specified below; The City Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said properties being described as follows: ;,41 a. That portion if any of Tracts 312 to 315 9 C, D. Hillmans Lake Washington Garden of Eden Division No. 5�3ying�Wes erly of ae 3�`�i parallel with and 150 Ft. Easterly of the Easterly Margin of Lake Washington Blvd. b. The remainder of Tracts 312 to 315 inclusive of C. D. Hillman's Lake Washington Garden of Eden Division No. 5, less the northerly 235 feet thereof and Less County Road, is rezoned to Residence District {R-4, Multiple Housing) -1- and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton. SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 17th day of October, 1961. C i,City Clerk i
