AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (R-1) TO BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1)
WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance
No. 1628, known as the "Code of General OrdinanceSof the City of Renton", as amended,
and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described
has been zoned as Residential District (R-1) and
WHEREAS under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a
proper petition for change of zone classification of the hereinbelow described pro-
perty has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about October 31,
1961, which petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission for investi-
gation, study and public hearing and a public hearing having been held thereon on
November 22, 1961 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice
of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law; said Planning Commission
having duly considered and studied said petition, and having recommended and made
certain revisions thereto, and having heard all parties appearing in support thereof
or in opposition.thereto,; NOW THEREFORE
AS FOLLOWS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
SECTION I: The following described property in the City of Renton is
hereby rezoned to Business District (B-1) as specified below; the City Engineer and
the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being
described as follows:
Lots 18, 19, 20 and 21, all located in Block 6, Renton Highlands,
according to plat recorded in Volume 46 of Plats, Page. 34, King
County, Washington, LESS the east 20 feet thereof.
and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton.
SECTION II This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
