HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1926T � mow► o ORDINANCE NO. �2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM GENERAL CLASSIFICATION DISTRICT (G) TO BUSINESS PARKING (BP) WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" as amended, :, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has been zoned as General Classification District (G) and WHEREAS under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance, asamended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of the hereinbelow described pro- perty has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about October 30, 1961, which petition was then duly submitted to the Planning Commission for investigation, study and public hearing thereon and a public hearing having been duly held on Nov- ember 22, 1961 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law; said Planning Commission having ` duly considered and studied said petition and made certain recommendations thereon and revisions thereto, and having heard all parties appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW THEREFORE AS FOLLOWS: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON SECTION I: The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Business Parking (BP) subject to the conditions and terms herein- below stated which are hereby expressly found to be in the public interest and for the public benefit and which conditions and terms have been expressly agreed ;to by petitioner -owner of said property; the City Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as follows: Lots 2 and 5, Block 2 of C. D. Hillman's Lake Washington Garden of Eden Division No. 7, according to plat thereof recorded in Volume 16 of Plats, page 18, records of King County, Washington EXCEPT the West 200 feet thereof and EXCEPT the East 25 feet thereof SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS AND TERMS: a) Owner -Petitioner to properly landscape the East 25 feet of the aforestated Lots and such landscaping with trees, shrubs and other natural growth to be completed forthwith and to be maintained thereafter continuously at the sole cost and expense of Owner -Petitioner; this agreement and covenant shall run with the land and be binding on the successors and assigns of Owner -Petitioner and such landscaping and maintenance to be subject to the approval of the City of Renton. -1- Owner -Petitioner further agrees to deposit with the City a bond or cash of not less than Fifteen Hundred ($1500.00) Dollars to assure compliance with the aforesaid condition. b) Owner-Petitioner.isto further grant unto the City an easement, five feet in width, for drainage and other public purposes along the East five feet of the aforedescribed property, which easement is necessary and in the public interest to provide proper drainage for the above and adjoining properties. and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton. SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 12th day of December, 1961.
