HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1931ORDINANCE NO._Ly JL AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTONj, WASHINGTON, AMENDING SECTION 10-1107 OF TITLE X (TRAFFIC), OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628 ENTITLED "CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RENTON". BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLM4S : SECTION I: Existing Section 10-1107 of Title X (Traffic Code) of Ordinance No. 1628 reading as follows: SECTION 10-1107: ADDITIONAL SPEED LI14ITS: The speed on all streets within the City limits shall be twenty-five (25) miles per hour., ex- cept that on the following streets and highways with the City the maximum lawful speed shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour., to wit: 1. Dunlap Canyon Road (formerly State Highway No. 10) from Rainier Avenue to the westerly City Limits. 2,, Rainier Avenue from its intersection with 153rd Street to the northerly City Limits. 3. Airport Way (also known as Dixie Avenue) from Rainier Avenue to Logan Street; also Logan Street from Airport Way to Eighth Avenue North. 4, Grady ?lay from Main Street to the intersection of State Highway No, 5, 5. Sunset Avenue (formerly Sunset Highway) from a point three hundred feet (3001) north of Bronson Way to the east City Limits. 6. Benson Highway from its intersection with Main Street and Grady Way to the south City Limits. 7. S. E. 128th Street (also known as Cemetery Road) from I'M" Street to the east City Limits, The speed limit on Primary State Highway No. 5, also known as the East Valley Road, from its intersection of 153rd Street and extending to its intersection with 180th Street is hereby fixed and established at forty-five (45) miles per hour., as the maximum lawful speed. (Ord. 1889; 6-6-61) BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED AS FOLLMIS: SECTION 10-1107: ADDITIONAL SPEED LIMITS: The speed on all streets within the City limits shall be twenty-five (25) miles per hour., except that on the following streets and highways within the City the maximum lawful speed shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour, to -wit: 1. Dunlap Canyon Road (formerly State Highway No. 10) from Rainier Avenue to the westerly City Limits, 2. Rainier Avenue from its intersection with 153rd Street to the northerly City Limits. 3. Airport Way (also known as Dixie Avenue) from Rainier Avenue to Logan Street; also Logan Street from Airport Way to Eighth Avenue North, 4. Grady Way from Main Street to the intersection of State Highway No. 5. 5. The speed limit on the following designated streets shall be thirty (30) miles per hour. 1. Benson Road - from Springbrook Road to Grady Way 2. Springbrook Road - from South city limits to Benson Road 3. 90th Avenue from North city limits to Renton Street, a 88th Place South from North city limits to Renton Street 4. Renton Avenue from the W�city limits extending to Rainier Avenue 5. Park Street - from Bronson Way to 10th Ave. N. 6. 4th Avenue No., from Sunset Blvd E., to Logan St, N. 7. 116th SE., from Sunset Blvd E., to SE 97th 8. 112th SE., from Sunset Blvd E., to SE 97th -2- The speed limit on Primary State Highway No. 5, also known as the East valley Road, from its intersection of 153rd Street and extending to its intersection with 180th Street is hereby fixed and established at forty-five (45) miles per hour, as the maximum lawful speed. (Ord. 1889; 6-6-61). SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
