HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1946ORDINANCE N0._ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPS WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM GENERAL CLASSIFICATION DISTRICT (G) TO BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1) WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton", as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as General Classification District (G); and WHERW under the provisions of the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, the City Council on its own Motion, and upon recommendation of the Planning Commission, initiated the rezoning of the hereinbelow described properties, and the Planning Com- mission and the City Council having duly considered and studied said proposal and a public hearing relative to said rezoning of the hereinbelaw described properties hav- ing been duly held on March 5, 1962 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law, and said rezoning to be in the public interest and for the public benefit and no objec- tions having been heard in opposition thereto, either orally or in writing; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RINTON AS SECTION I: The following described properties in the City of Renton are hereby rezoned to (Business District) B-1 as specified below; the City Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said properties being described as follows: South 3.151 of the East y of that portion of the Southeast 4 of the Southwest 4 of Section, Township 23 North, Range 5 East W.M., lying westerly of PSH No. 2, and LESS roads of record, all situated in Renton, King County, Washington and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton. SECTION II: This Ordinance. shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
