HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1955ORDINANCE NO. / AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPEZTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM GENERAL CLASSIFICATION DISTRICT (G) TO HEAVY INDUSTRY DISTRICT (H1) WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations), of Ordinance No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton", as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow described has heretofore been zoned as General Classification District (G); and WHEREAS under the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zoning classification of the hereinbelow described propery has been filed with the City Clerk on or about April 2, 1962, and thereafter referred to the Planning Commission for investigation, study and public hearing thereon, and a public hearing having been held on or about April 25, 1962, in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law; and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said petition and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW THEREFORE FOLLOWS: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS r SECTION I: The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Heavy Industry District (H1) and the City Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinances of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as follows: Lots 11 to 48 inclusive in Block 19, all 6f Blocks 20, 23, 24, 31, 32, 33 & 34, including vacated streetsjin C. D. Hillman's Earlington Gardens Division No. 1, as recorded in Book of Plats in Vol. 17, Page 74, now in the Town of Renton, EXCEPT that portion .of Lots 12 to 29 inclusive in said Block 19 conveyed to the State of Washington by Deeds recorded in Auditor's File Nos. 3916580 and 4554803, records of King County., Washington,' all situated in Renton, King County, Washington wide EXCEPT the north 15 feet thereof and EXCEPT a 120 foot/strip projected from the north boundary of the property to the south boundary of the property south of and centered on the center line of 87th Avenue South. and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton. -I- SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
