AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, VASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM RESIDENCE DISTRICT (R-2) TO BUSINESS DISTRICT (B-1) WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the properties hereinbelow described have heretofore been zoned as Residence District (R-2); and WHEREAS under the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of the hereinbelow described properties has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about May 29, 1962 and thereafter referred to the Planning Commission for investigation, study and public hearing, and a public hearing having been held on said matter on or about June 27, 1962 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law; and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said pe�:•tion, and all parties having been heard appearing in _support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW THEREFORE FOLLOWS: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS Section I: The following described parcel of property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoad to Business District (B-1) as specified below; the City Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as follows: Lots 4, 5 and 6, Block 44, Corrected Plat of Renton Highlands No. 2 as recorded in Volume 57 of Plats, Pages 92 to 98 inclusive, records of King County, Washington, all situate in Renton, King County, Washington and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton. S-ection II: This Ordinance shall bb in full face and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 16th day of July, 1962.
