HomeMy WebLinkAboutORD 1973U, ORDINANCE NO,� AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CER'T'AIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM GENERAL CLASSIFICATION DISTRICT TO LIGHT INDUSTRY DISTRICT (L-1) WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" as amended, and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the properties hereinbelow described have heretofore been zoned as General Classification District; and WHEREAS under the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for change of zone classification of the hereinbelow described properties has been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about April 3, 1962, and thereafter referred to the Planning Commission for investigation, study and public hearing, and a public hearing having been held on said matter on or about April 25, 1962 in the Council Chambers of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law; and said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said petition, and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The following described parcel of property in the City of Renton is hereby rezoned to Light Industry District (L-1) as specified below; the City Engineer and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said property being described as follows: Lots 16 through 43, Block 25 and Lots 16 through'25, Block 22 of C. D. Hillman's Earlington Gardens Addition Division No. 1 to the City of Seattle, as recorded in Vol. 17 of Plats on Page 74, Records of King County Washington, Less portion of above lying within proposed right of way PSH ¢#1 and proposed widened area of 87th Avenue South and less the south fifteen (15t) feet of Block 25.adjacent to South 153rd Streets, all situate in Renton, King County, Washington. `SUBJECT HO LVER to the covenants and restrictions relative to setbacks, berebning, landscaping and maintenance therefor as filed by Petitioner - Owner with the Office of King County Auditor, Receiving Noq. �5'4&7,p4 -7- 44SYG7ck' which covenants shall run with the land and constitute a part of this rezoning: and said rezoning to be subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton Page One SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication. 4z 1� PASSED BY THE CITY COUNGIL this day of Z,, 1962.
