AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING THE ZONING
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON FROM
RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (R-1) to RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (R-3)
WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Building Regulations) of Ordinance
No. 1628, known as the "Code of General Ordinances of the City of Renton" as amended,

and the maps adopted in conjunction therewith, the properties hereinbelow described have
heretofore been zoned as Ret-i:dentia.l D st'r.ict (R-1');: and
WHEREAS under the aforesaid Ordinance, as amended, a proper petition for
change of zone classification of the hereinbelow described properties has been filed with
the City Clerk of the City of Renton on or about July 31, 1962, which petition was there-
after referred to the Planning Commission for investigation, study and public hearing,
and a public hearing having been held thereon on August 22, 1962, in the Council Chambers
of the City of Renton, all pursuant to notice of hearing duly published and posted as
provided by law; said Planning Commission having duly considered and studied said petition
and all parties having been heard appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto;
NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
FOLLOWS:
Section I: The following described parcels of property in the City of Renton
are hereby rezoned to Residential District (R-3) as specified below; the City Engineer
and the Planning Director are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the
Zoning Ordinance, as amended, of the City of Renton to evidence this rezoning; said
properties being described as follows:
The South 331.47' of the N.E. 1/4 of the N.E. 1/4 of Sec. 8, Twp 23N,
R 5 E. W.M., lying West of the State Highway #2, Less that portion
southerly of a line running southeasterly from a point on theWest
line 212.00' North of the South line, to a point on the West margin
of said highway 198' more or less north of the South line of the
subdivision, said 198' being measured along the west margin of said
highway.
and said rezoning to be further subject to the laws and ordinances of the City of'Renton.
Section II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
