" AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO BE SURPLUS, PROVIDING FOR ITS SALE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE INSTRUMENTS OF CONVEYANCE. WHEREAS THE CITY OF RENTON hays heretofore entered into and executed a certain "Lease and Option Agreement " under date of September 24, 1953, in which the CITY is the Lessor and UMBERTO BAREI and VIRGINIA BAREI, his wife, are the Lessees, per- taining to certain property hereinafter more particularly described, and WHEREAS said real property had, prior, to the aforesaid Lease date, been occupied by the CITY and its miscellaneous Departments as a City Hall, and WHEREAS it had then been determined and established that said property was no longer suitable, adequate or usable for a City Hall or other municipal purposes and the City having heretofore acquired other properties therefor, and WHEREAS above Lessees have timely exercised the option to purchase said property, for cash, NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I: The above findings and determinations are hereby found to be true and correct in all respects and the following described property, to -crit: Lots 13 and 14 in Block 22 of Town of Renton, as per plat recorded in Volume 1 of Plats on page 135,.records of King County; EXCEPT the West 10 feet thereof; situate in the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington. formerly known as the City Hall premises are hereby declared surplus property, same being no longer suitable, adequate, or usable for said purposes. It is hereby found in the public interest and for the public benefit to sell the of oredescribed property, in pursuance of the above Option for the sum of Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00) cash, being the > g purchase price stipulated in said Lease and Option and. the fair value of the property. SECTION II: The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and instructed to execute the proper instruments of conveyance in favor of UMBERTO BAREI and VIRGINIA BAREI, his wife, as Grantees and such instruments to be delivered unto said Grantees upon receipt by the CITY of the sum of Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00) cash, less _1_ any prepaid rental. CITY shall further furnish at its expense unto Grantees.a policy of title insurance showing good title in Grantor, together with revenue stamps. SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and legal publication, PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 17th day of December, 1962.
