AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DECLARING
THAT AN EMERGENCY EXISTS AND APPROPRIATING MONEY FOR THE
PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF NECESSARY EXPENSES
NECESSITATED BY SUCH EMERGENCY
WHEREAS since the adoption of the 1963 annual budget of the City of Renton,
it has become necessary to provide for the expenditure of certain funds including
emergency repair work of certain storm sewers within the City of Renton and to prevent
further damage to other properties, all of which expenditures were not foreseeable at
the time of the adoption of the 1963 budget; and
WHEREAS it is necessary for the proper administration, operation and main-
tenance of the City and its departments to appropriate funds for and out of the City
fund as hereinafter set forth for the purpose of such maintenance and operation; NOW
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The foregoing recitals and facts are hereby found and determined
by the Council to be true and existing and by reason thereof the Council does hereby
declare that an emergency exists.
SECTION II: That there be and is hereby allowed and established the follow-
ing sum for expenditure in the following classification and said sums are appropriated
for expenditure in said fund, and same being in addition to the provision and alloca-
tions of said 1963 annual budget, to wit:

SECTION III: This Ordinance is an emergency Ordinance which shall not be
voted upon until one week shall have elapsed after its introduction and a copy thereof
shall be published as a proposed Ordinance with a notice of the time set for voting
thereon.
SECTION IV: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
