AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON PROVIDING FOR THE TAKING OF
A CENSUS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY, PROVIDING FOR
THE APPOINTMENT OF ENUMERATORS.
WHEREAS the City of Renton is desirous of causing an enumeration of all persons
residing within the corporate limites of the City to be taken for the purpose of
ascertaining and determining the amount of tax funds due the City of Renton from
the State of Washington and for the further purpose of considering advancement
of classification in the City's status and such enumeration being deemed in the
public interest and for the public welfare, N014 THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON,,+AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The City shall appoint Zenumerators for the purpose of
making enumeration of all persons residing within the corporate limits of the
City of Renton and such appointment shall be made by the Mayor and confirmed by
the City Council.
Each enumerator so appointed, shall, before entry upon his duty, take an oath
for the faithful performance thereof and shall proceed, within five (5) days after
his appointment to make an enumeration of all persons residing within his respective
District. Each enumerator shall note the name of each person, plainly written,
alphabetically arranged and regularly numbered in complete series, together with
the place of residence of each such person residing within the City of Renton.
Immediately upon the completion of such enumeration, the enumerator shall
make return thereof, upon oath, to the City Council of the City of Renton and such
return shall be canvassed and the return certified by the City Council as soon
thereafter as practicable.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
